Handmade in England of rolled tinplate, Clarke's famous pennywhistles have been around since 1843. The Clarke tinwhistle of today retains all the essential features of those played by Whistling Billy 150 years ago! The traditional conical bore has been retained to give the instrument its unique timbre and rounded tone. Like the originals. tin plate sheets are rolled, soldered. and polished by hand, after which the wooden plug (fipple) is inserted. Each instrument is then "voiced", ensuring a good clear sound. Key of C Whistle.
