Molded of high grade ABS plastic, these are stable throughout the octave register, this particular model true pitched in the key of D. Slightly different than "Western" wind instruments, key is determined by the sounding note with the lowest fingerhole open. For example, as with this Ney, if the sounding note with all fingerholes covered is C, than the key of the instrument is D, the sounding note with the lowest hole open.
