A member of the family of bowed lyres, the crwth had all but died out by the nineteenth century. Now undergoing a resurgence. The alto crwth measures 24 inches and is tuned a minor third lower E.  The alto crwth is tuned a minor third below the soprano.

The Crwths have a pine body, with aircraft grade laminated back and soundboard, and hardwood fingerboard, tailpiece and bridge. 

This instrument is hand-crafted upon ordering and may take up to 3 months for completion.
