Temple blocks, also known as wooden fish, are made of a hollow wooden block, and were originally used by Buddhist priests to beat rhythm when chanting scriptures. In recent years, a full set of wooden fish (as they are called in China) has been produced for use in the orchestra. Measures, 2-1/8".
