We were immediately drawn to this horn the moment it landed on the shelf — two broad brass bells rising from a compact looped body, topped with a generously sized black rubber bulb that practically begs to be squeezed. This is the kind of noisemaker that actually delivers on its promise, producing a bold, room-filling honk that turns heads at any gathering.
Construction & Materials
Crafted from solid brass, this double-bell bulb horn measures approximately 15 inches in overall length. Both bells flare to approximately 3-3/4 inches in diameter, and the tubing is bent into a tight parallel loop that feeds air through both bells simultaneously. The body carries a polished, high-shine brass finish that gives it a classic, eye-catching appearance. A large black rubber squeeze bulb attaches securely to the instrument via a brass collar fitting.
Sound & Playability
The dual-bell configuration is what sets this horn apart from standard single-bell bulb horns. Air forced through both bells at once produces a louder, fuller, more resonant honk than a single-bell design can achieve. No embouchure or musical training is required — a firm squeeze of the rubber bulb is all it takes to produce a commanding, attention-grabbing blast of sound.
About This Instrument
Bulb horns have a long history as signaling devices, theatrical props, and festive noisemakers, appearing everywhere from early automobile traffic to circus performances and street parades.
Care & Maintenance
Brass instruments will naturally develop a warm antique patina over time as the surface oxidizes. This is a normal and attractive characteristic of the material. Store the horn in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to preserve both the brass finish and the rubber bulb.

Nice sound
This was my first ever Hardanger, so I basically wanted a "Squier" version of a Hardanger: an entry level Hardanger to learn on that was new and solid but wouldn't break the bank. This has been pretty much perfect and just what I wanted.I love playing it.
Beautiful amazing instrument! Easy and fun to play! Highly recommended! Great customer service and fast shipping!!
Jackie arrived, nicely packed and in rapid order... much lighter than I expected, thank goodness as the instrument is attached to the player by their thumbs (and mine are kind of old).
I never thought that it would be so challenging for me to learn play ... so different from anything I've tried before... I can feel the neurons in my brain sparking and protesting. Actually, it feels good to build new pathways. The cat is none too pleased with my new endeavor. However, Jackie is a beautiful instrument, well made and of good quality. I'm sure, in time, we'll become the best of friends.
Thanks to all at Lark in the Morning for making my experience so pleasant and trouble free. <3
The external Twin Spot works great on my Irish Bouzouki. I've scotched taped the pickup heads and wires it in place for easy adjustment, and the pick up sensitivity is very good. I'm running it through my guitar DI box for increased sensitivity and tone control.
