Construction & Materials

Originally built by master craftsman Jay Witcher as a faithful replica of the historic Sirr Harp, this floor-standing wire harp features 35 solid brass monofilament strings, unwound and chosen for their authenticity to early Irish and Scottish harping tradition. The deeply carved body showcases the extraordinary work of Bob Thomas, the artist responsible for the iconic Grateful Dead skull logo, whose intricate Celtic knotwork, interlocking ring patterns, and dual carved eagle heads transform every surface of the instrument into a gallery piece.
