Susato whistles are designed by George Kelischek and manufactured in Brasstown, North Carolina. These ABS plastic whistles are easy to play, with a bright and responsive sound that many professional musicians prefer. The Kelischek models (previously named Kildare) have a slightly tapered bore and come in 20 different keys from low C to high F. The economical Oriole models have a cylindrical bore and come in 4 different keys (Bb, C, D, Eb).
All models feature a curved wind-way which contributes to a rich, bright sound and easy overblowing into the higher octave.
Oval tone holes are used where those are easier to cover than round holes.
Two piece models make transport and storage of longer, lower pitched whistles whistles easier.
Two piece models allow pitch adjustment by pulling the joint in or out.
Unlike metal whistles, ABS plastic does not conduct heat as fast as metal and maintains a more stable pitch with temperature changes.
The adjustable snap-on thumbrest can be moved to a preferred position for comfortable playing.

Awesome instrument
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Plays like a dream
Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!
