There is a real need for an affordable yet durable and good sounding hammered dulcimer. Many, many folks would like to try the hammered dulcimer, but don’t want to commit a lot of money on something they don’t know will work for them. Or they want a really nice gift for a musical relative or friend. The 13/12 Chickadee fills that need very well. It is durable enough that it should last into the next century, and light enough to easily carry around. Includes dulcimer, hammers and tuning wrench.

  • Mostly chromatic with a chromatic range from E4-D6, almost 2 octaves
  • Built with durable, reliable Poplar ply
  • Top is coated with a black paint that gives it an orange peel texture, and then sealed with polyurethane
  • Soundholes in the back 
  • Walnut rails, Hard Maple pin blocks, and Walnut bridges
  • 38″ long x 15 3/4″ wide
  • Weighs about 12 lbs.
  • Comes with hammers and T-handle tuning wrench
