Filmed at the New York jazz club Smoke, Rodney Jones enlightens us with his flavorful originals like "Groove Bone" and "One Turnip Green," while he indulges us with the classics such as "Stella by Starlight," and "Morning of the Carnival." For Live at Smoke, his first DVD as a leader, Rodney Jones selected material from every stage of his career, including tunes he had not previously recorded. The result is an exquisite juxtaposition of traditional and progressive works, including sultry ballads, floor-pounding grooves, and everything in between. A gifted solo artist and an A-list sideman for Dizzy Gillespie, James Brown, Lena Horne and other top performers, Rodney is also a dedicated educator, serving on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music since 1988. Featuring: Brian Charette on organ, Lonnie Plaxico on bass and Ray Marchica on drums.

I bought this bodhran after I broke my more decorative one while protesting. I’m one of four women who are Drumming for Democracy every week at our local Saturday protest.
The DG-255 I received from Lark in the Morning was easily as beautiful as presented. The padded gig bag is a huge plus as well.
The guitar is a solid and has a bigger, more forward sound than I'd anticipated which suits me just fine. It plays easily, surely even more so after I have a guitar tech get it set up for me.
Nice people, excellent service, quick shipping. Nothing not to like here.
This whistle has a beautiful, warm tone and is very responsive. I have used a variety of whistles (including other Kerry whistles), and this one is my favorite to play. While recording my latest album, I needed a whistle in this key pretty quickly, and Lark in the Morning had this delivered to me within a few days. I highly recommend this instrument, and Lark in the Morning is a fantastic place to purchase from with excellent customer service.
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!
Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!
