Constructing a rock or pop solo could be compared to baking a cake. The solo consists of several elements or ingredients which combine to make the final product. The improvised solo may consist of such elements as: scales, sequences, arpeggios, double stops and licks. The material in this book will help you to master one of those elements, which is licks. Licks are a series of notes which have a catchy sound. They may be repeated over and over in the solo. They are so commonly used that they may be call rock cliches. When the licks (or rock cliches) in this book are combined with scales and other elements of a solo, they will give you solo an authentic, professional, classy sound. Audio available online.

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil

These are great! They have a grand sound!
