Teach Yourself Chords and Progressions with CD by Paul J. Newman is not a compendium of every conceivable chord in every possible position, nor does it attempt to be an encyclopedia of the infinite number of chord progressions which might exist. Our aim is to describe and illustrate chords and progressions in a practical context so that guitar players can use them in the manner of the artists who inspire them. There is certainly enough appropriate material throughout for your own original inventions, but simply mastering the content will qualify as a worthy goal.
- The Major Triad
- The Minor Triad
- Seventh Chords
- Pentatonic Minor Progressions
- Sixth and Ninth Chords
- Suspended and Added Chords
- Bar Chord Workout
- Augmented and Diminished Chords
- Open String Combinations

I read about sistrums in a fantasy adventure book and had to have one! Lark listed one I could afford that combines old crafting techniques with bottle caps! The delivery was quick. I played around with it and was surprised at all the different chimes and riffs it could make. Right now it is displayed with my also-African-made soda can lion. I'm happy!
Nice sound
This was my first ever Hardanger, so I basically wanted a "Squier" version of a Hardanger: an entry level Hardanger to learn on that was new and solid but wouldn't break the bank. This has been pretty much perfect and just what I wanted.I love playing it.
Beautiful amazing instrument! Easy and fun to play! Highly recommended! Great customer service and fast shipping!!
Jackie arrived, nicely packed and in rapid order... much lighter than I expected, thank goodness as the instrument is attached to the player by their thumbs (and mine are kind of old).
I never thought that it would be so challenging for me to learn play ... so different from anything I've tried before... I can feel the neurons in my brain sparking and protesting. Actually, it feels good to build new pathways. The cat is none too pleased with my new endeavor. However, Jackie is a beautiful instrument, well made and of good quality. I'm sure, in time, we'll become the best of friends.
Thanks to all at Lark in the Morning for making my experience so pleasant and trouble free. <3
