Made of 3 fine solid hardwoods strongly laminated together. Depending on which way you hold these bones you can get 3 different tones. You get the choices of striking the same woods together or a third choice of striking different woods.
These are the finest wooden bones we have ever seen. Patterned after a pair of bones given to me by Percy Danforth. Very nicely finished. Boxwood is used in violins and the finest 18th century woodwind instruments. Very stable and resonant.

I bought two different pairs of Mr Bones bones, one with vermillion in the middle, and the other with boxwood. They're both beautifully made, like little works of art, I almost hate to bang them together. They're meant to be played, though, and I'm going to look good doing it.
Rhythm bones very nicely made with beautiful wood. Nice bright tone. Loud when you get it right. I am a rookie. Got inspired to give it a try after spending some time with Hubby Jenkins learning the basics. A very nice version of an ancient instrument.

This was my first ever Hardanger, so I basically wanted a "Squier" version of a Hardanger: an entry level Hardanger to learn on that was new and solid but wouldn't break the bank. This has been pretty much perfect and just what I wanted.I love playing it.
Beautiful amazing instrument! Easy and fun to play! Highly recommended! Great customer service and fast shipping!!
Jackie arrived, nicely packed and in rapid order... much lighter than I expected, thank goodness as the instrument is attached to the player by their thumbs (and mine are kind of old).
I never thought that it would be so challenging for me to learn play ... so different from anything I've tried before... I can feel the neurons in my brain sparking and protesting. Actually, it feels good to build new pathways. The cat is none too pleased with my new endeavor. However, Jackie is a beautiful instrument, well made and of good quality. I'm sure, in time, we'll become the best of friends.
Thanks to all at Lark in the Morning for making my experience so pleasant and trouble free. <3
The external Twin Spot works great on my Irish Bouzouki. I've scotched taped the pickup heads and wires it in place for easy adjustment, and the pick up sensitivity is very good. I'm running it through my guitar DI box for increased sensitivity and tone control.
I think that every household should have a buffalo horn. We are now the proud owners of a fine horn which we obtained from Lark in the morning. It will be handy for calling in the children from play, and signaling to the neighbors across the river.
