Fender's first attempt at an electric violin in 1958 did not sell well and it wasn't until 1969, after the purchase by CBS, that Fender tried again. Their early models in this era, prior to the FV-1 and FV-3 that were made in Japan, had a patented bridge pickup that can't be matched with the more common piezo pickups in the FV-1 and FV-3's.

This one, from our Founder's Collection, is in great shape with only a few dings on the body (see photos). It's got a new chinrest and pegs and Helicore electric violin strings.

Case and bow not included.
