Generation Whistle, Bb in Brass

The whistle arrived OK. The packaging was pretty poor, though. Just a piece of cardboard wrapped around the whistle in the shape of a triangular prisim. Actually, two pieces taped together in the middle to make it longer, and it still didn't reach the full length if the whistle. This inside a floppy envelope. It could easily have been bent, dented, or scratched in transit. As it was, after I had opened it and checked to see that it arrived OK, as I was bringing it inside, the whistle slipped out of the cardboard onto the street, and the mouthpiece got a scrape. I had to get some steel wool and polish the plastic before giving it as a gift. I don't think that this would have happened if it had come in a proper box.

It is decent for my first whistle that is not 3D printed. The tuning could be a bit better, and it jumps octaves unexpectedly occasionally. My thought is I would need to remove the mouthpiece and smooth it and follow some other guides on tweaking Generation whistles, but my disibilities, which include tremors and muscle spasms as symptoms, makes me worry I would accidentally ruin it.

So, yes, a good starting whistle in B♭ at least. I wanted something a bit lower than D to prevent aggravating my househole as a fumble around learning to play better. 😄

Despite the four star rating, I still recommend it, especially for those who are able toadajust/tweaka it.
