Ghana Caxixi, Large

Hand held basket-type shaker with rock pebbles inside that produce a somewhat aggressive sound. This type of shaker’s sound varies more than the Benin type because the fill material is either a crushed or naturally graded stone and sizing is not as consistent as a natural seed. The color and color patterns of the dyed cane fibers are vivid with many unique combinations.
