Johnny Cash left us a wonderful country songbook, and in this one-hour and twenty minute lesson Fred shows you how to play and sing eight of Cash's most popular gems. You'll learn to back yourself up singing, using basic fingerpicking patterns and first position chords, with lots of bass runs thrown in. You'll also learn to fingerpick a solo for each tune. Fred grew up with Johnny Cash's music, and his natural, easy arrangements suit the material and are easy to learn. After playing and singing each song, Fred goes over any tricky techniques or runs, then he plays the tune on a split screen so you can watch what each hand is doing. A booklet that accompanies this DVD has all the split-screen versions written out in tablature and standard music notation (with lyrics, too), so you can read the exact same arrangements Fred plays. If you put the DVD in your computer, you can access a PDF file and print it all out in a larger size. Whether you're beginner or intermediate player, this DVD lesson is a great way to get into Johnny Cash's songs and carry on his legacy. Now Available:

This was my first ever Hardanger, so I basically wanted a "Squier" version of a Hardanger: an entry level Hardanger to learn on that was new and solid but wouldn't break the bank. This has been pretty much perfect and just what I wanted.I love playing it.
Beautiful amazing instrument! Easy and fun to play! Highly recommended! Great customer service and fast shipping!!
Jackie arrived, nicely packed and in rapid order... much lighter than I expected, thank goodness as the instrument is attached to the player by their thumbs (and mine are kind of old).
I never thought that it would be so challenging for me to learn play ... so different from anything I've tried before... I can feel the neurons in my brain sparking and protesting. Actually, it feels good to build new pathways. The cat is none too pleased with my new endeavor. However, Jackie is a beautiful instrument, well made and of good quality. I'm sure, in time, we'll become the best of friends.
Thanks to all at Lark in the Morning for making my experience so pleasant and trouble free. <3
The external Twin Spot works great on my Irish Bouzouki. I've scotched taped the pickup heads and wires it in place for easy adjustment, and the pick up sensitivity is very good. I'm running it through my guitar DI box for increased sensitivity and tone control.
I think that every household should have a buffalo horn. We are now the proud owners of a fine horn which we obtained from Lark in the morning. It will be handy for calling in the children from play, and signaling to the neighbors across the river.
