Bamboo flute in D from Master flute maker John Niemi. Known for his shakuhachi, John Niemi also made a number of cross-blown bamboo flutes as well. These are made from a relatively heavy Hawaiian bamboo which gives them a nice brightness and resonance. Together with the quality binding, this bamboo flute is less fragile than some other instruments and will provide years of playing pleasure.
