An historic and uniquely designed Mexican five-string guitar.  A very loud rhythm instrument of Mariachi music, the Vihuela is normally played with fingers strumming open chords on the fretted half of the neck.

Traditionally used as a rhythm guitar for classical and mariachi music, the Vihuela has a signature rounded back, a nato neck and top, a rosewood nut and fingerboard and a spruce bridge.
