Bombo is a cylindrical shaped drum found in the Andean region. The body of the drum is made from thin plywood with the drum head made from stretched animal skins retaining its fur, which produces a deep muffled tone. The Bombo is played with a mallet striking the wooden rim or the drum head. Rope tension, 19" X 15" goat skin head with hair.
