Sean O Riada - O Riada's Farewell

Recorded shortly before his death in 1971, this is the only album of solo recordings of Irish traditional music made by the great O Riada on harpsichord (which he thought was a good keyboard approximation of the old wire strung harp). O Riada founded the influential band Ceoltori Cualann, which later evolved directly into the Chieftains. This CD serves as a fitting valediction to his musical career.
