Introducing the latest addition to the esteemed Roosebeck Mountain Dulcimer collection, the Grace Model stands out with its exceptional features and craftsmanship. The innovative vaulted fret board design not only reduces weight but also enhances soundboard vibration, delivering superior sound quality. Crafted with an elegant hourglass shape, the body, neck, nut, bridge, and fret board are made from solid walnut, complemented by a silver crown-shaped tailpiece. The spruce soundboard is adorned with a charming walnut skirt design and features four knotwork openings, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Equipped with four mechanical geared right-angle tuners with a 14:1 ratio, this model includes four strings: two melody strings, one middle string, and one bass drone string. While various tunings are possible, the traditional DAD method is recommended for ease of play. Included with this exquisite instrument are essential accessories: a pick, noter, and owner's guide.
Historically, mountain dulcimers featured three equally spaced strings, but modern advancements have led to the creation of a 4-string dulcimer by doubling the melody string, enhancing the volume of the melody line. Contemporary models, like ours, offer extra notches on the nut for personalized string patterns. The inside doubled melody string can be removed to revert to the traditional 3-string setup, or both the inside melody string and the middle string can be adjusted for equal spacing among all four strings. Discover the configuration that suits your musical style best. Elevate your musical journey with the Grace Model and experience the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Order now to bring this masterpiece into your collection.
Features:
- Neck at Nut: 1.25 inches in width
- Scale Length: 25.5 inches

This was my first ever Hardanger, so I basically wanted a "Squier" version of a Hardanger: an entry level Hardanger to learn on that was new and solid but wouldn't break the bank. This has been pretty much perfect and just what I wanted.I love playing it.
Beautiful amazing instrument! Easy and fun to play! Highly recommended! Great customer service and fast shipping!!
Jackie arrived, nicely packed and in rapid order... much lighter than I expected, thank goodness as the instrument is attached to the player by their thumbs (and mine are kind of old).
I never thought that it would be so challenging for me to learn play ... so different from anything I've tried before... I can feel the neurons in my brain sparking and protesting. Actually, it feels good to build new pathways. The cat is none too pleased with my new endeavor. However, Jackie is a beautiful instrument, well made and of good quality. I'm sure, in time, we'll become the best of friends.
Thanks to all at Lark in the Morning for making my experience so pleasant and trouble free. <3
The external Twin Spot works great on my Irish Bouzouki. I've scotched taped the pickup heads and wires it in place for easy adjustment, and the pick up sensitivity is very good. I'm running it through my guitar DI box for increased sensitivity and tone control.
I think that every household should have a buffalo horn. We are now the proud owners of a fine horn which we obtained from Lark in the morning. It will be handy for calling in the children from play, and signaling to the neighbors across the river.
