Each SongPod is crafted in a smooth teardrop form sized to fit naturally in the human palm. The lustrous, iridescent surface displays deep tones of blue, green, and teal, suggesting a shell-derived or shell-inspired material with a high-gloss natural finish. The seamless construction contributes to its durability -- SongPods are built to endure years of regular handling and play without losing their resonant character.

Sound & Playability

SongPods produce sound through three distinct playing techniques, each revealing a different voice. A gentle shake yields a serene, echoing ring with a long, soothing vibration. Turned near the ear, the instrument releases a soft, tinkling tone reminiscent of wind chimes. Struck against a hard surface or clacked with another SongPod, it produces a bright, resonant echo with a striking antiquity to its timbre. No musical training is required -- the instrument responds intuitively to the player's touch, making it accessible to all ages and abilities.
