Very nicely made, works great!
I came into the store with the intention of trying this flute and not buying anything. However after playing it, there was no way I could leave it at the store. Some might call this a Maya flute as there is a fourth half step finger hole on the back of each barrel. The tuning is awesome and you can feel its quality as soon as its in your hands.
Fun little flute, easy to play. I bought it because I wanted to test a theory that A minor would more easily play well with way the guitar and other instruments. It worked!
Its a beautiful flute that sounds great! And is well made.
Used them last night at the Brandywine Dulcimer Fellowship jam. They are AWESOME!!!!!!!! By the way, we are coming up on our 45th anniversary. Started by Kevin Roth.
It's great to be able to buy a hurdy gurdy in the US without having to wait for 6 months to a year or more. The Aplo is a quality entry level instrument that produces beautiful sound. It resonates very well and there are no buzzes or squeaks. Workmanship is very good. I got mine cottoned, rosined and tuned in a half hour. The transaction was easy and it arrived within a week.
I've been able to play some tunes on it with only a few hours of practice. It's going to be a lot of fun.
I am impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship. It feels very special. And very pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of a good tuner and that the instrument arrives tuned, ready to play out of the box. Thank you for your careful, thoughtful, loving work.
it is the best we love it!!!!!
I have had my Roosebeck 19 string Pixie harp since 1988 and it still looks and sounds as it did when I first bought it! Maybe a little scuffed up from carrying it around, and a few tunings, but I have loved its beautiful carvings and teaching myself to play it has been a joy! Back then it only cost $175.00, but what it goes for new these days is certainly worth it! When I retire my old girl, I'm going to buy the next one here!
I was skeptical as the shared sound the site had was questionable, but when I took the bell out, it sounded much better. Thank you!
It's an attractive instrument. I'm much more comfortable playing fretted, stringed instruments and wind instruments tend to leave me frustrated. This one seems manageable. It took much longer to arrive than one would expect after paying for priority mail. Someone needs to have a talk with the local post office.
Clean, beautiful shape and feel.
I recently purchased a Donkey Jaw Bone Rattle from Lark in the Morning, and I’m impressed with both the product and the service. The rattle itself is a unique and authentic percussion instrument, showcasing great craftsmanship and producing a resonant, snappy sound perfect for traditional music or unique soundscapes.
The ordering process was smooth, and the website provided clear descriptions and photos, which made it easy to understand what I was buying. Shipping was prompt, and the rattle arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition.
If you’re looking for distinctive and high-quality folk instruments, Lark in the Morning is a great resource. I’m very satisfied and will likely shop with them again.
